These vinyl decals are made professionally by a local company.
The decal arrives as one continuous piece. The example shown is applied to our narrow tailgate that is approximately 48 inches wide. I believe it will also align with the wider tailgate, but if you have any concerns when it comes to alignment, it is always an option to break apart the letters individually and apply them that way.

I've made several orders with these guys and I've been super happy with what they ship me. I've always been able to reach someone with questions. If you think you're going to need that part, order it sooner than later because they make a lot of them once ordered (it's not a huge warehouse of Chinese stamped parts). It's worth the wait though.
