The WILLYS stamp along each side, rolled and curved bottom and front edges, and spot welded/welded center seam, are all built to match the original hood.
The hinge is pre-attached, along with the support, via spot-weld. The hinge and support are based on the later model style, such as the CJ3B, with the hinge and support being separate pieces (shown at right).
There is some discrepancy as to when WILLYS switched their hood hinge design, and we modeled ours after the later version. Worth noting, the hinge is made in the USA. We sourced it from Guden, a company based out of Long Island, NY.
